Artist Bio

Arlene Eubanks is a Fiber Artist who has studied at the Basketry School in Seattle in the 80″s Art& Design at Grays Harbor College and finished her degree at The Art Institute of Pittsburg.

The natural beauty of Washington State has greatly influenced my work, I was raised close to Mt Rainier and love the woods, moss and Spring Trilliums. We live close to the forests that surrounds our home above the Grays Harbor Estuary.

Arlene uses many different materials for her art. Some project use Sea Biscuits, others use natural grasses and seed pods. She also uses antlers, leathers, Baleen from a whales mouth African Porcupine Quills, embedded clam shells in driftwood and cedar wall hangings with Chestnut Pods. Arlene’s designs are original, abstract, and modern. She is a member of the Harbor Art Guild, The National Basketry Organization, Artrepenure in NY, The Art Gallery on Facebook, and Weavers Around the World. She also exhibits at The Fall Gala for Grays Harbor College.

You can see more of Arlene’s work on the Art Gallery of Facebook.
